PERSONAL LEAVE CLARIFICATION:

Faculty recently received an email communication regarding Personal Leave from Sue Maroney, Human Resources Manager.  Contract language regarding personal leave can be found in Article 9 section 6 (9.6).   The language did not change in our new contract.  We used a paper form in the past that included the following reasons for personal leave:

*Medical               *Legal                  *Religious                  *Graduation

*Honors Convocation                      * Real Estate Transaction

*Moving                 *Death of a Close Friend                  * Participation in a Wedding

*Educational Requirements           *Necessary Personal or Family Business

*Emergency

As Sue Maroney noted, you do not need to be specific with your leave reason.  Please use one of the personal leave reasons listed above.
